Poison Oak

In March the band released “1996”. Happy Magazine also reviewed the EP stating “Poison Oak dish hook-fuelled emotive aussie rock on 1996 EP”. With the EP gaining praise from radio stations and magazines all throughout the world, the band also play series of shows in their local home of Townsville.

Poison Oak are now gearing up to release their new single “Losing Ourselves”, refining their sound for the first instalment of their third EP. Teaming up with producer Mark Myers from the Middle East, the track showcasing Poison going in a slightly different direction but keeping their Aussie Rock roots. It presents their sound as more polished, more developed and showcasing the band as a song writing team. The scope of Poison Oak’s catalogue to date sees them capture an Australian sensibility of raw emotive storytelling and boldly adaptive rock forms. Stripped of bluster.
